hydraulic pump

So i have had this master cylinder that has been leaking back at the hydraulic pump. I priced a rebuilt one and they are an astounding $1600!! This past weekend I was in a junk yard looking around and found and 88 turbo bird that still had the master cylinder in it. I pulled it out and bought it for $15 and noticed that there is a high pressure hose that goes from the hydraulic pump to the master cyclinder body. I have a strong suspicion this is where my leak is coming from, espeically that the leak only manifests when the pump comes on. I am gonna get a shop mirror down there and confirm but it makes perfect sense. If so I am gonna swap out the lines. Any of you ever have to do this? It is pretty tight and looks to be a real pian to accomplish!
