1988 TC, 5 spd, Stinger 3" Exhaust, Schneider Roller Cam, -4° Cam Pulley, Cone Filter, Gilles Boost Control Valve set at 17 psi, Walbro 255 lph, CHE Rear Lower and Upper Control Arms, Braided Brake Lines, Hawk HPS 5.0 Front and HPS (F) Rear, CRES Inserts in front calipers, and '93 Cobra Wheels with General 235/50R17 Tires.

I also need to know how to do the koer test on the car and the location of the plugs and how to propley do it on the 88 bird thank you for your response

How to run KOEO, KOER and CM codes checks on any EEC IV Ford are explained here and in many many places on the web.
No good way to test the IAC. IAC is PWM controlled by the PCM. You can take it off, clean it with MAF cleaner, and put a drop of oil on the shaft where it enters the solenoid.
High idle is often caused by TPS closed throttle voltage above 1 Volt.

Not to sound grumpy or anything, but before you ask a question like this you might first try doing a search here on the Forum for the answer. There’s hundreds of answers to many of the questions like these; and you’ll get a more full understanding of the problem and its solutions that way.
I do this often myself to gain better insight into why and how some things work, and if there’s a better way than what I’m doing.
I’m NOT saying don’t ask questions...the only stupid question is the one you don’t ask, and end up ruining something in the process of muddling through it. If you do a search and after a few results you’re not happy with the answers or still unsure, then please ask!
An exception would be when you are really stuck and don’t have time to do a search.

I need to look at the voltage on the TPS myself. Thanks for that info. My car was idling high a month or so ago and I unplugged the IAC and that killed the motor. It was okay after that (so far). I have seen some remarks here about how it might be difficult to find a "good" IAC.

With engine fully warmed up unplugging the IAC should NOT cause the engine to die. Either the base idle (set with the throttle stop screw, just like in the olds days of carbs) is too low, ignition and/or cam timing is messed up, or other engine issues.
With throttle stop screw set correctly, unplugging IAC on a correctly running, warmed up engine, idle speed should only drop maybe 200 RPM.
