if you look through my back window, you can see the material dangling from the roof (it's that blue cloth interior stuff)

what's the best way to fix that? is there some kinda of blue cloth tape i can buy or something?

Mine was just frayed around the edges, and stained in some places, and a few small holes. Here is what I did: Went to the local fabric store (bizarre experience to say the least), and got some headliner material that was almost a perfect color match. Yes, the large fabric stores sell specific headliner material. Cost about $20. Got 2 cans (overkill) of headliner spray glue at auto parts store. Took off all trim around headliner, and pulled it out the door in one piece. I just glued the new material right over the old. Put it back up, and put the trim back on. Looks like new, and the double layer of material probably provides a bit more sound and thermal insulation.

We did the same thing with another car. It works well. I would say the cost for the whole deal is around $50. The spray glue is very expensive. It does not take too much....

I flipped the cardboard over and glued the headliner material to the other side. Kept me from having to scrape the foam from one side or worrying about the glue sticking to the foam.

Don't glue it over the old headliner. I gaurantee it will come loose all too soon. Strip the cardboard backing of all traces of the old liner, then, replace it as Jeff suggested.

My headliner was falling down in the exact same spot as yours, in the rear next to the glass. The headliner itself was still in good condition, it was just loose. So I took the old glue gun to it, and it turned out great. Just a line of glue near the back edge and a few spots around the area and it's good as new. Cost me about 5 cents for the amount of glue stick I used. My roommate's mom had the glue gun and I just borrowed it from her.
