ok i have been unscrewing the oil sending unit for 30 min strait now! whats going on? how do i get it off?

I think I used a 9/16 wrench? Are you spinning the top or the part made for a wrench?

the top of the sending unit.. but its not spinning the base, im using plyers on the unit itsself... theres no way im geting a wrench near the bottom of that sending unit...

1. You can get a crow's foot wrench on the base and remove it that way. You will *never* get the sender loose by spinning the top.
2. You can remove some of the "stuff" that's in the way (injector harness, upper manifold, etc.) and get to it that way. I think the crow's foot method is probably the easiest.

I removed the head to get to the sensor. But then again, there might have been a better way.
(And I spun the top for like, 15 minutes, then I hit it with a large tool.)
Surprisingly enough, it leaked just the same amount before & after tool and spinning.

My egr passages need cleaning anyways so im waiting till saturday and changing it when i remove the upper intake, figured that make it alot easier. Im assuming sense ive been twisting on that oil sending unit that its now no good?

what size fitting is that? i was going to put a tee in it so i can have the factory guage and a manual guage both in the car..

I don't remember the size but any plumbing dept (Lowes, Home Depot, Sears Hardware) will have it.
