ive been wondering if anybody has made a way of getting good cold air to there air filter? ive thought about making a sheet metal wall from the passenger side strut tower to the radiator keeping the filter from sucking in the hot air from the engine bay then idk how to get air to the filter from there?

You could build something like that. Another solution is to run the filter out in front of the radiator or into the inner fender.
Here is what I did years ago and I've seen a lot of better systems built by others over the years. This is one mod that you can be creative with the use of materials.

I was just looking into that but I was looking at a scoop to put on the bottom of the bumper to force air up into the bumper better than the factory air dam I think someone made one for the mustangs a while back but not to sure I just don't see how the cars get a good air flow to the filters

I see. The factory air dam is there to help cause air to flow through the radiator. You probably want to leave most of it in tact. I have seen someone make a system a lot like your picture but they did leave a fair amount of the dam in place

I was hoping I wouldn't have to cut the dam but just put the scoop in front of it and I'm also wondering now if anybody has tryed to angle the dam forward to make more of a ramp to get more air to the inter cooler and radiator?

I once used a spare RF headlap bucket, painted flat black, with a cutout to allow ducting to the filter, which sits where the VAM used to be.

works great during the daytime... Big Grin
