I wish i could give you guys some more of a warning, but the history channel's doing a special hour-long presentation on the history of the ford thundebird in about 15 minutes (6pm, eastern time). I dunno if they'll have anything on the turbocoupes on the special, but i'm videotaping it anyways.

It's a re-run from the other day. Yes, it does have a short scene with the Turbo Coupe.

I watched the show but didn't get a chance to tape it. The tape is available on the history channel website: Keyword: History Channel. They also have another tape available of the Thunderbird.

That special turned out to be quite a disappointment for me. They spent upwards of 10 minutes concentrated on the atrocious 70's tbirds but a total of maybe 2 minutes on the aerobirds (and less than 10 seconds on the turbocoupes). And did anybody watch the special on Hitler after the tbird show? About 20 minutes into the show they showed video from a speech hitler gave, and i swear they had a huge thunderbird symbol (with the huge outspread wings and the head turned to the left) hung on a banner behind him. Pretty strange if you ask me.

I'm a 19 year old kid at college. I'm going for a mechanical engineering major (one of the toughest majors here at the U of delaware), but I always find some time for anything dealing with cars (even if it means skipping a class or two, but you know how it is [Image: wink.gif] )
