Hi temp header coating

Last month I bought a used "Rod's Header" from a NATO member. I am thinking of sending it and my turbo to Swain Tech Coatings to have it coated White Lightning Exhaust Coating. They say it will reduce radiant heat in the engine compartment by 35-55%. Does anyone have any experience or advice concerning this?

I had a thermal coater header on a previous project car and the coating did indeed help with under-hood temperatures. I'd also recommend wrapping the downpipe if you're really trying to reduce under-hood temps. This alone made a significant difference on my last turbo car
88 Turbo Coupe: Front mount intercooler, MGW short throw shifter, full coilover conversion, tubular control arms front and rear, svo front brakes, vacuum assist brake swap, manual steering swap, GT35R turbo with external gate, pimpx ecu, 60lb injectors, 3 core aluminum radiator, Boport 1.5 cam, gutted upper, corbeau fixed back seats, and the list goes on.

Plus, correct me if I am wrong, but having the thermal coating will also keep EGV/Thermal energy higher in the header/turbine housing. If you do the downpipe, it too will help exhaust gas flow velocity and contribute to a more efficient pressure ratio.

'88 TurboCoupe, Automatic, stone-stock (as I just got it) for now. Trying to get it back running and roadworthy before mods begin.

Who did your coating?
Would you recommend them?
