HG pics and a question about it

Here are a few of pics that I took of my head gasket that I removed back in Dec (2 months ago). The damn thing was leaking water to the outside of the block. I went through a lot of water and about burned up the motor. The thing of it is that it did not leak until the first freeze that we had here in OKC. After that first freeze, it leaked upon first start up and then after it (the car) got warm no more leakage. If the car sat after the first start up it would not leak any more (for that day). I changed out the HG and it is still doing it, just not as bad. I even went so far as to slightly over tighten the bolts (100 ft-lbs instead of 90 ft-lbs), thinking that might make a difference. Upon initial start up after the gasket change it did not leak. But after a few heat cycles upon initial start up of a morning it started leaking water again, until the motor gets up to temp, but later in the day when it has sat for a while it won't leak any (or if it does leak, it is not that much). What the hell gives on this.

I am using the 8993 Fel-Pro HG gakset, and when I rebuilt the motor last year (Jan '05) I had the block decked and the head plained so everything was square and true. I was extreamly careful about the cleanliness when I replaced the gasket, both when rebuilt and 2 months ago.

Why would it leak right there??? There is a friggin' head bolt right there. I am still using the stock head bolts if that matters. Any ideas???

Check for flatness, in that area as well as overall?
That includes the block also. Kinda guessing on this one

Throughout the entire HG, that is the only spot that the thing leaked. An area that is about 1" long on the edge and 1/2" back from the edge in that one spot. I can not understand this one. I think that this is one of those gremlins that will not go away until I use some copper spray on it so it all seals up.
