Tell you what they look great. I hate sweating copper and you sure did your share of that for the motor. Let us know how it holds up once your back on the road. I am very interested in that. I just might have to break out the torch and start sweating some copper.

When I swapped heads, My oil feed was already shot, and replaced with high pressure fuel line, so I did my turbo oil feed and in "custom bent" copper lines. I like the look!

I'm not one to rain on anyone's parade, BUT;
I was told many years ago that copper was not suitable under the hood, especially with solder joints. Copper can't take the movement and flexing?
ANYBODY else with FACTS on this?

With all that copper, you just doubled the value of the motor. Looks good. Keep us posted on the vibration thing.

The "plumbing" is interesting to say the least, I would be curious as to how it holds up too.

Not that I'm playing devil's advocate here, but doesn't just about everyone on this site tell us not to use an exhaust manifold gasket.

Copper looks good. Hope all works out.

Looks nice. Is it just the way the picture is or is there going to be a problem getting the oil filter off? Also is that same plumbing going to hit the steering colume?

Yes, I made those to fit. I used two 5' sticks of 1/2" copper pipe and more than enough 90* bends and 45* bends. There are just a few pieces of rubber hose in strateagic spots so that there is accually a little room for movement and vibration.

Pete...as for the filter comming off, the hose that connects to the lower intake and the hose that is behind the valve cover should allow me to bend it up just enough to get it off. I have tested it with it in the car and it appears that there will be enough room there. As for the steering column, it clears with room to spare.

So far, 500+ miles on the new motor, there is not one leak of coolant anywhere. But that damn filter on the top of the valve cover is leaking like a damn sive :mad: . There is oil all over the damn place and it leaks down to the exaust manifold and I smoke like I am on fire.

There is a few bugs that have to still be worked out. And if I can keep from working on the wifes car and turbotronics car, I might have time to do those little things that need to be done to it before classes start for the fall.

Thanks for the props guys. I put alot of work into them and I also hope that they hold. I don't want to do that again :mad: .
