ok im on my way back from the track with my buddy a week ago and i smell somthing funny then i see a slight puff of smoke come from under the hood..the altenator was sparking a smoking..i made it home no problem..put a new altenator and battery in the next day..drove to work but on the way home the radio started cutting out..i made it home and let her idle for about 5 minute but then she died..i tryed to start her back up but it was like the battery was dead..i went out the next day to see if she would start and she started right up..i drove her around the block but the radio cut out again and she stalled..the next day i jumped her and she idled fine but when i turned the headlights on she stalled out..i put in another new battery in today and started her up then disconnected the postive from the battery and she stall out right away...can i rig this altenator up so she pumps the juice right to the positive on the battery..im tired of deal with these headachs..how can i rig this or fix it

I'm guessing the battery isn't getting the charge because some wiring is fried. Did you check the wiring?
