I have had a CF dual friction clutch for about 3 months. Never made any weird noises, bangs, nothing. But now, with the clutch pedal ALL the way to the floor, the pressure plate is still touching. On level ground, you can notice the car is not still, but c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g foreward. To get into 1st gear, i must turn the car off and start it in gear. Hard to go between gears. like the clutch is wore out, but........ only 2000 miles.. HELP. ANy Hints????

It's probably not your clutch or pressure plate. Sounds like you may have a defective master or slave cylinder. The 87-88 use a hydraulic system to move the clutch fork, throwout bearing and pressure plate. Check the clutch fluid resevoir. It's the small round white plastic container near the brake master cylinder resevoir, next to the vacuum tree. It normally should only be about 1/2 full. If it's lower than that, it has lost fluid. If it's too low, you have air in the system and it has to be bled like a brake system. The slave cylinder is on the driver's side of the bell housing

Follow the line from the slave up the fire wall. Did you bleed the system when you put the new slave in?

I put in the CF Dual Friction kit with a CF TO Bearing and new clutch fork. I did not change anything else. Now, after about 10k miles, sometimes after you run it a little hard, the clutch pedal has a slight vibration, or a feeling like it rubbing something when you push it in and out. It sounds like a TO Bearing problem...

Another thing I noticed is that when I first put it in, the clutch would grab at about 50% from the floor when you are letting it out, now it seems like its grabbing at about 75-80% off the floor... Next clutch will probably be a RAM.

i couldnt bleed the line 'cuz the bleeder valve is inaccessable under the hyd. line. My last clutch was a Ram from racer walsh, and it only lasted about 6000 miles before it burned up. I said heavy duty too......

when my dad and i put the new slave in, since i couldn't get at teh bleeder, we just pumped the slave cyl. until it stopped giving up bubbles in the resovior(?).

look at these two threads. Both are about clutch bleeding.

Ohter than this I haven't actually bled the system.
