HELP!

Go to fix one thing, something almost always goes wrong....

My speed sensor wasn't turning so I went to try to adjust it, but I was building a gauge cluster and had the fitting for my vacuum line on the boost gauge on the dash, thinking I wasn't going to move, I moved the car back and fourth to check the speedo, which still isn't working might I add, and the sensor is good, and then I hear something fall and sure enough, into the heating vent it goes...DOH!


My question is, how can I retrieve it? And also, why can't i get my speed sensor to line up right?

Can't say for sure, and I am not liable for any damage that might occur, but you might try to blow some compressed air into the duct and see if you can get it to move to a location at the bottom of the heating duct, where it can be gotten at easier than having to move the dash out. Or leave it in there and try and get a hold of another sensor. Good Luck!

I assume this was a brass fitting? If so, a magnet is going to work. I would guess that you would probably have to pull the dash and the ductng system to get it back. That is only a guess.
