On the manual heater control (88 TC) can the fan switch be replaced or does the whole unit have to be replaced? It's the same on high as it is the notch below it. Thanks... Chuck

Fan switch is replacable. But it might be the fan resistor pack (on the fan housing I think.)

95% chance its the resistor pack. At least that's where my money's at. Usually a pretty simple fix. Not 100% positive where it is on the TC, they are usually close to the heater box on the inside (passenger side) of the firewall. Flip the glove box down and see what you find. A forum search might help???
I had one go bad on my Ford Focus as I was selling it. $15 and ten minutes and my heater was back to blowing.

It works other than high. 3 out of the 4 positions work. High is the same as position 3, that's why I think it may be the switch itself.
