I had to replace heater core couple years ago and I had to remove lots of stuff in order to reach the heater core then after I got it all back together when you push the button for heater or ac or fan the lights used to be stationary but now it flashes. So does that mean I miss something or it needs to be reset or what? Everything still works but just the lights flashing.

The code shows a 88 so there is no fault then. Why would the lights flashing?
