hi guys, finished reading previous posts about redoing headliners. my question is, i have a type of foam that is glued to the roof, then the headliner is glued to that. should there be board? i read in a post that a guy had cardboard there. also, should the foam or what ever go all the way from door jam to door jam.
ps. have a sun roof that makes this job much harder.

there is supposed to be a base of cardboard and then there is a very thin layer of foam , and then the cloth , The sunroof will make it no more difficult . The cardboard will be removed from the car for this job any way, I used 3M comtact cement in the can , sprayed the cardboard , then sprayed the back of the cloth , then i layed cardboard on top of the headliner cardboard and then layed the cloth on top of that , then slowly pull the cardboard from between the two and smooth the material as you ga . the cement only sticks to itself ... I then wrap about an inch of material over to the back of the panel , including the sunroof hole..Ashley
