Of the many things I do poorly in life, two things stand out. Plumbing and Electrical.
I've read different posts about adding headlight relays for our TCs. It is on my list of things to do, but I've not gotten to it because, well, see my opening statement.
Saw this harness referenced on another site.

Will this work with our cars?

Should work. Just make sure you can get the correct connector for the headlights.
If you were closer I'd help you build it from scratch. I've always been into the electrical side of stuff.
Seems expensive to me... but it is more convenient

You too! I never saw a plumbing job that wasn't out to get me.

Tom,
It is my impression that this harness in the link above takes care of both the high and low beams. I will still have to do a relay for the fogs at some point.
The TCs are noted for having problems with the headlight/foglight switch and it gets quite warm when running lights etc. for a long time.
There is a procedure in the FAQs on this site on how to put in relays for the lights. I am wondering if this harness that is already done will accomplish the same thing.
If this harness will work and is acceptable, I have 4 Fords that I may convert over to the harness.

If had 4 cars to do, I would seriously be looking at upgrading my Solder and wire connection skills. All you need are the 2 relays and some Female spade connectors. There is enough slop in the wring to be able to just cut, solder the termials and plug into the relays.
No offense to Plumbers, but for most DIY's you only have to rember 3 things.
1) Effluent takes the gradual deline!
2) Beer after the job is done
3) Never eat that last bit of Pizza you held between your fingers!!!!!

Reading the FAQ procedure for the headlights the author says adding the relays caused the system sentry warning light to come on when the low beams are used. He guessed it was from a lack of current draw.
Anyone done this modification and seem the same thing?
Anyone have a solution for the warning light?

HI keven what we do is use a bosch 5 prong relay and wire it into the high beam switch. The headlight switch rarely messes up. We use 1 relay to slave the high beam switch. I wire it in so that when the relay is not energizrd it is in low beam when it is energized it is in high beam. I do all the connections at the stearing colum and hide the relay under the stearing wheel lower cover. Works great. Hope this helps.

Tom,
For me to visualize it I'd have to see a diagram. Remember my first post... plumbing and electrical... not my thing.

I can draw up a diagram of how I would do it. I would use two relays under the hood. One for high and one for low beam.
I'm not sure of what Tom is proposing. If I did I could draw that up for you too.
If you're doing this on a bunch of cars i'm tempted to order the parts and build you the kits myself...
