OK guys, i have an 87 tc, and the header panel was busted in the center of it, had a panel given to me from a another 87 t-bird, just not a tc, are these the same? i've put it on and they don't meet up exact in the center of the hood. the hood is up about a 1/4 of an inch or more.
87 TurboCoupe, 5 speed, Garrett T-3, K&N cone filter. New rotors all around, new brake lines all around..

Not all panels are made the same. You may have an aftermarket header (from the donor car) and your other one was a Ford item. Or vise-versa. Aftermarket parts are notorious for not matching exactly like OEM parts.

You can adjust the hood latch to lower the front edge of the hood. But to answer your original question, they should be the same (except of course the grille).

after looking at the header panel, stamped into the back of it was made in tawain.. I was like ahhh [email protected]!T, no wonder it doesn't fit..
