So, on the way home yesterday I ran into the back of a car.  My own big dumb fault, light turned yellow, I thought we would go through the intersection, car in front stopped. So, I need basically the frontend of a turbocoupe.  All lights, grill (beak) and who knows what else.  Anyone know where one may find a good front end.
Thanks,
Pat

I've got a complete 88 with no title I was going to use for parts. I don't need any of the front end parts. I'm a couple hours from you though, northwest of Charlotte.

Hi,

I just picked up a nose, bumper with fiberglass, hood, lights, including fog lamps, if your first lead doesn't pan out.

I live in Creedmoor, north of Raleigh.

You should probably inspect the actual BUMPER behind the bumper cover. When I was in a collision a couple of years ago (driver ran a stop sign) I called a salvage yard I knew had a TC and told him what I needed. When I got there a couple of days later he had it all ready for me to load up in our 4Runner, including the actual bumper, made of fiberglass. I questioned whether I needed that part—it turns out when I got my car disassembled that bumper was damaged, so yes i did.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

88turbomajor thank you for that information, it is great to have options. What color are the parts you have?

anasazi4st, I haven't had the opportunity to disassemble any of the car yet, but I do have a feeling it is more than skin deep. Front right fender is pushed into the passenger door so I am sure it is more than cosmetic. Not sure I will be driving to Foxtoberfest this year, dang!

Take comfort that it was only sheet metal and plastic. Damage to the engine compartment or frame would be far more serious. When I got out of the car that day I was sick over what I expected, and was relieved to see it was just bolt-on front end parts. It was worse only because the fender was pushed back and pierced the passenger tire sidewall, flattening it, so I needed a tow home. Fortunately (again) I was about 1/4 mile from there.

I’m not sure what this means. Do you mean, the PAINT is black? According to the Paint Codes from a previous post, Ford did offer a Black exterior paint option for the Turbo Coupes…but I have never seen an actual TC with that shade.

If not, can you be a bit more specific?
