head bolts

i was getting rid of the cometic head gasket and putting the 1035 on and i was wondering if it is ok to stick with the stock head bolts or get different ones, if so where can i pick them up quick, thank you

also i was looking over on turboford and some people were saying they were have a problem with oil leaking out of the manifold bolt holes or something and leaking down around the passenger back side of the block and down the trans. and bell housing area which is exactly what mine is doing but instead of oil its antifreeze, any other ideas i thought it was a leaking head gasket, thank you very much

The exh man bolts go to oil only. A/F could be HG or turbo coolant lines, if you have them, or driping off other coolant lines. Or a freeze plug? I reuse headbolts. TTY or 6 pt up to 3 times has been stated as the max. 12 pt last forever.

I'm one of those that believes the original 12 point can be reused many times if not abused.

If something is leaking you need to look at whether the bolts lost torque (they can through heat cycling) or something isn't flat, like the head surface AND the block surface. I don't know about the Cometic but I have heard that the 1035 requires very flat surfaces.

I thought TTY head bolts could be used only once...

12pts are NOT TTY
6 pts ARE TTY

And yes, TTY bolts can only be used once
