He-man clutch pedal...

A couple days ago I bought the '84 TC that BasementPaul had for sale. Now, maybe it's just me, but the clutch pedal seems like it's hard as hell to push down. Is this a common thing with cable clutches? He also said the clutch only has a few thousand miles on it. If the pressure plate is also new, then might that make the pedal firmer? I'm beginning to get used to it, and it may just be that I'm too weak and frail. I get the feeling that sooner or later I'm going to have a big left leg and a regular-sized right one. I have a stage III clutch and pp and its easier to engage than the stock clutch ever was.Sounds like a faulty install or bad parts.
