Hey guys, just yesterday i realized that when i really jump on the gas..my turbo kicks in great...and it runs great...but once in a while when my turbo kicks in fully to 18-20 PSI, i notice a slight hesitation. Tonight it did it really bad..and i saw my RPMs drop about 2000. then its fine...like i said...sometimes it does it, sometimes it doesnt do it...it seems to do it ALOT worse when the engine is cold..when i first go out in the morning. I disconnected my Knock Sensor...and it is not doing it as bad as it was...so, what is this thats happening...i have checked the usually stuff, everything checks out great..any ideas?
Thanks
Zach

If your fully boosting a cold engine, I hope your making weekly contributions to a rebuild the engine and turbo fund. If your engine is dropping 2K rpms, something else is wrong. I'm not sure why disconnecting the KS makes it better.

Dont waste time / money on a fuel pump unless you know it isnt up to the task. Measure fuel pressure under boost to be sure it is base (39 psi stock) + boost press at WOT / high RPM, high boost. If the fuel pressure checks out, the pump is OK.

Hopefully, your fuel press gauge has a few feet of hose on it so you can tape the gauge to the windshield to see it while driving. If it doesnt have a long enough hose, see if you can modify it with a few feet of HIGH PRESSURE hose so it will reach.
