The red stripe on the vinyl strip running around my "new" TC has faded. I want to try to dye it red again. Has anyone here done this successfully, and if so, what did you do? Thanks -Kent

I haven't heard of dying per se. I know that people have used colored tape to recover them and some of the ones I have seen look very good. I think that Mike, (AerobirdMotorsports) had some for sale at one time. He posts here and he is listed at the top of the Vendor's page

I painted mine. Has held up quite well for years.

My trim is actual replacement molded red pieces, just like when it was new. It won't help on the rubber moldings in-between the wheels, but all of the other pieces are covered by my kit.

A buffer with fine paint polish works great also, made the entire trim piece appear to be new on my car.

V6T-Bird and Ryan,
Today I used both of your suggestions. Took the 1000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the entire red molding. It worked-- the red returned, but found it had dulled out both the red and the parts of black molding. Then tried Ryan's idea and used Zaino ZFX Swirl remover and polished it out with an electric polisher. It worked out just great! Did take most of the day. Thanks so much for your suggestions. -Kent
