So I think I'm do for a turbo rebuild/replace. I'm burning oil through the turbo somewhere. Rebuild my stock ihi turbo or upgrade to a t3 or better. I can get a GSP-01027 t3/t4 57mm trim for 150. Just wondering if this turbo is any good? Or should get a t3 from an earlier bird or rebuild my ihi...

The first thing you need to do is determine what you want the car and the turbo to do for you. You may or may not need some mods to get the most out of it. Some mods may make it spool slower. If you have a pretty stock set up and plan to keep it that way, then do some more investigation to see if that size turbo is going to work for you.

Been there... done that... cant run over 19-20 psi on them with a stock head..... compressor WILL Surge. T3 or T3/T4 50 trim is way more suitable to our stock cylinder heads!
