I have found that making good grounds for the engine, will cause it to run better. the best ground straps I have found are on the 740 Volvo Turbo's and DOHC 740's and 940's. They can be easily found and are long enough where they are plug and play for our cars and virtually look stock.

The car current only has two straps and they are not as sturdy as the ones found on the Volvo, plus you have to realize that they are 20+ years old and tend to be brittle and cracked due to heat under the hood. The Volvo grounds are sturdy all steal grounds and are very sturdy. I have noticed that the more grounds you add to this motor, the better it runs. I have straps from pass and drivers side of block, and also from upper intake to body. Since I added these straps, the car runs smoother.
Bottom line they are cheap(free) and plentiful at all the jy's, so it doesnt hurt to add them,.

I'm sure it is, but these are a dime a dozen, and will cost less than a dollar at any jy. I'll post a pic tomorrow so you guys can see just how sturdy these things are.

I second that. These engines come stock with inferior grounding.

I would recommend fixing those grounds but it isn't why the manifold glows
