New user here. I have a 1985 Thunderbird TC which I purchased from my Dad in 1987. It was his lease car from Ford, so it's been in the family it's whole life.
I drove the car daily until 1999, when I started a family and decided to put the car away until the day I could have it refurbished. It has 127k on it.
Well the day came last November when I had the (extra) funds found a mechanic familiar with the 85 T-Bird. The car is currently being mechanically rebuilt. There are some parts I'm having a hard time finding, but I'll put those in a separate post.
Anyway, thanks for having me. I look forward to learning a lot!

Thanks all!
The car was black with grey rockers when built in November 1984 (Happy 30th)
It was re-painted black all over in summer 1991.
The rims are stock as is most of the car; it still has the original cassette player with the black, push/pull Chicklet® preset buttons.
My mechanic is still working on the re-build, but I hope to get back soon before it'll have to go in storage for the pending crappy Michigan winter ahead. More pix:
