Got some stuff for spring...

I picked up some new parts to put on the 88TC in the spring. Always wanted some Konis so I got some of their STR.T's for a 94-04 GT, some MM Thunderbird specific caster camber plates, and some MM Thunderbird lower control arms with adjustable spring perches. After comparing these and the CHE's online, I like the fact that the spring adjusters go all the way through these as opposed to the CHE's, These also have zerk fittings which I like. I can say, just by feel and workmanship, these are beautiful pieces and I am glad I spent the extra to get these from Maximum Motorsports. Looking forward to spring already to get this stuff on.

the caster camber plates alone have been one of my best investments.
this made my sn95 suspension conversion in 2011 so much better. having the car aligned has been nothing but smooth and my alignment guys love it.
im interested to know how the Konis work out for you. i have some KYBs in mine and they are decent.

I had some of the KYB's in the front this past summer, but took them out as  I did not like the feel of them. They were way too floaty compared to the PRC's on firm setting. I did cut half a coil out of the front springs, but that shouldn't make too much of a difference in the ride. Took out the KYB's and put the PRC's back in and the ride firmed up, so from what I've read on the Koni's these are their non adjustable street shocks. Which to me is great as I do not want to be messing with adjustments, especially double adjustable shocks. When these go in in the spring I will post up a report on how they feel.

Kuch,

Were you able to get these installed? I have been looking at a lot of your post on what you are doing for suspension and I want to follow in your footsteps.

I have not done the CC plates yet, I am waiting to get a new set of BMR front springs to replace the 04 GT springs that are in it now. Once I get those, I will tear into it and replace the springs, struts, ball joints, control arm bushings, install the CC plates, and sway bar bushings. I will get some pics when I get into it. For the rear suspension, I love the Koni's and the Moog cc821 springs. I did install the Maximum Motorsports lower control arms with adjustable spring perches. Very nice pieces. With the lower control arms, and the Moog 821's the back sits at 27"

Wow! I look forward to seeing the pictures. My PRCs are pretty much shot and I need to upgrade the suspension all around. I saw pictures of your Tbird and like the way it sits. Plus I want it to ride well. I noticed you said you are getting BMR front springs. Did you not like the other ones?

I spent some time researching springs for these cars especially the rears as our cars are heavier than the Mustangs as all springs are for. I found that the load ratings for the Moog 821's are pretty much the same as a stock TC, but are about 3/4 to an 1" shorter installed. The fronts I also wanted about an 1" lower but a lot of the springs available are either lower, or not enough, and also they only come in a set, front and rear. The BMR (SP028) are for a 79-04 Mustang and have a spring rate of 525lbs, which is more than the stock GT or TC springs and also lower 1" with out cutting coils. You can also buy just the fronts separate as opposed to a whole set. Can usually find them online for around $110 fronts only. My Moogs only cost me $43, so for both sets I'm only looking at $150 ish. Cheaper than most other sets and with better load ratings for the backs. The Koni STR-T's for a 94-04 Gt Mustang fits our cars, but you will need some of the Chuck W style shock brackets from here https://tbirdcougarparts.com/ to use the Mustang rear shocks. They mounted right up and ride and handle much better than the PRC's I had, just need to do the front now to complete the suspension rebuild.

Wow!!! You most definitely did your research! Thank you for the website to get the brackets. I am going to purchase the Moog springs to lower the back and let me know how the BMR work most likely will be getting those as well, LOL. I am most definitely picking a set of the Koni STR-T. Please upload pics once you get thing installed. I am pretty sure it will look amazing. Thank you for your research.
