Ok, I bought this 87 Turbo about 2 months ago and from the get-go I realized I was in for a lot of work.

Ever since I purchased it, the following has been occurring:

Whenever I'm driving, about 75% of the time I apply the brakes, the yellow ABS light and Brake light will come on for about a second and then turn off. I say 75% because it doesn't happen all the time. Also, when these lights come on, and sometimes it's just the ABS light by itself, I also hear a faint buzzing noise.

To top things off, When I'm idling, and can actually hear things better, I have noticed that when I push the brake pedal down, on top of the lights and buzzing noise, I can also hear clicking coming from the Trunk area. Almost all the time when I push down on the brake pedal, this clicking can be heard. It's usually three clicks, and it stops.

I had the Fluid flushed today, hoping for a simple solution....didn't happen.

Several souls have told me to replace the "Accumulator" on the ABS master cylinder, but before I did that, I wanted to get some opinions on this situation.

You are probably hearing the pump running. You may have a leak or air in the system. The clicking in the back is the programmed ride control (PRC) attempting to set the struts to the firm setting when you come to a stop to prevent the front end dipping. You should see a green light on the instrument panel when this happens.

Political digression: I am happy to see from your signature that republics believe in something besides stealing money and subverting the Constitution for their own benefit. I would have thought that 4 July would be a sad day for them as they no longer had a king to tell them what to do.

I have read the article. I do not believe I have a leak or air in the system as I just had it flushed out yesterday.

The lights still come on during braking.

Unfortunately the Article above does not have a particular "problem/Solution" area for my problem. There is one that sounds very similar, but the "Solution" is low Brake Fluid. Which I do not have.

I had the same problem on my 87TC. When you mashed the brake pedal the lights would light for a second and you could hear the noise. Turn the engine off and the key on, let the pump run until it cuts off. Then apply the brakes, if it starts running after every brake application then it's probably the accumalator. I replaced the accumalator and it has never happened again.

Where can I get an accumulator? For a decent price anyway...

Before you do that make sure the fluid reservoir is full. Turn the key to run. When the brake pump stops running, and the accumulator is charged, check the fluid level. It should be at MAX.

The system was flushed about 2 weeks ago, and the level is full. Where can I get an accumulator?

I can't seem to locate the part on Motorcraft's website. Anyone have a link to one of these $140 parts? I'm going to attempt to change it myself, but I have to get the thing first.
