GIllis valve hookup question?

The previous owner had hooked up a bootleg boost controller in a different manner in which Gilli's instructions advised. Im trying to find out on the inlet side of the turbo he has both nipples plugged off. I believe one of the two nipples is supposed to have a vacuum hose going to the stock intercooler. Is this true? Right now on the TMIC one nipple is plugged and the other nipple is running to a check valve to the vacuum tree.

Ian, Yes one side of the 2 port fitting on the stock IC outlet goes to one of the two "capped" ports on the compressor OUTLET. (doesn't matter which capped port it is) The other port on the compressor OUTLET has a line running to the directional control valve. This is to provide some vacuum to the cruise control when the engine is in boost.

And this is how my turbo is setup with the plugs

So I can pull off one of the plugs on the turbo and run that to the IC?

Not sure about the outlet hose though..ill have to look

Ian, the top picture, of the 2 port fitting, should not be capped off. The port with the cap should be uncapped and a hose run to one of the ports on the turbo inlet pipe, in the second picture

Ian, does your cruise control work correctly? The missing "vac" line from the fitting on the IC to the turbo inlet is the bleed off for the aspirator that provides vac to the CC servo under boost, such as going up a steeper hill, etc.
