Gillis Installed ... Less Power?

I Installed the Gillis valve this last saturday and adjusted it. And it feels like if i am from a dead stop and try to accelerate it feels like less power than i had it to before. I have it set between 10 and 15 lbs on the Stock guage. I have not checked for leaks. No sound is diffrent. It almost feels to hesitate in acceleration when it is at peak set boost. I know it falls on its face if i try to accelerate uphill or do a burn out. could it be the fuel pump is not catching up possibly dyeing ? ?

I would check for leaks first. If the iC is OK then maybe run th efuel system diagnostics.

I had the same problem when I did mine, then someone mentioned NGK V-groove plugs and the car ran fine

I checked for leaks. Thightened everything down. and still when acceleratig when it goes over 10 psi the power falls off.?????
1987 5 sp.

You have a leak somewhere.. your losing boost
So whats your point?

Yep you are either losing boost or you got the gillis in wrong, and the WG is starting to open before you want it to. Might want to check the install. There are some diagrams at the bottom of the article on installing a Gillis in the Technical Articles.
