Like the topic says I should have a PIMP next weekend and I'm looking forward to ditching the vam. But I'm not sure what to run on the IHI turbo inlet does anyone have a recommendation or part number for a filter? Should I run a coupler from the turbo to a pipe to a filter and stick the filter in the wheel well? Not sure how guys do it.
Thanks

If someone doesn't have a bolt on solution, most might be running at least a T3 that are tuning. Maybe just look up summit and make some measurements or hit up a local speed shop?

You never want to suck in hot underhood air, especially in a turbo application. Get some piping and put the filter in the pass side fender.

Yeah I gotta figure out something that isn't crazy pricey or doesn't look like garbage lol.

I used 3" ID PVC pipe / pipe elbows and rubber pipe couplers from the hardware store.

I've been considering getting PIMP just for this reason alone. However, do you have to have a strong background in tuning, or is it just another "check-box" in the software?

The PiMP is simple, as long as you take your time and read all the instructions. Then, read them again as you install it. Stinger has a great tech section with many answers or if you really get befuddled, Wes or Stinger will help you through the problem. Once you get it running, the "self tune" feature and about a 45 minute drive will get you in the ball park.
Most inportant thing is :read: everything.
