Hello all--
On the front of the engine block, underneath the water pump, there is an aluminum housing that bolts to the block, and the front of the oil pan bolts to it also. The front crank seal goes in this housing.
Does anyone know if there is a gasket kit available for this housing? My local parts guys cant seem to find it.
Thanks,
Joe

You might look it up under the auxillary shaft cover...or front crank seal...
Also...if you don't have a centering tool for the front crank seal be very careful when you put it back together....Nothing worse than going to all the work and finding out when you start it up that that seal is leaking all over!!!

Thanks,RK
Have you ever used one of those centering tools?I was wondering if you know if maybe a place like Auto Zone might have one in their loan-a-tool program....or maybe I was thinking of just loosely starting the bolts and checking to see if it's centered by temporarily installing the crank pulley.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Found the gasket set, it's called the auxillary shaft gasket set, although it doesnt really have a whole lot to do with the auxillary shaft.....the housing needs to be centered on the crank, not the pulley .....(brain fart, kinda tired tonight)...

Joe, Please get the part number of the gasket kit and a list of the gaskets in it and we can post the info in the Part Number forum for future use.
