Is there a link I can read on installing a T3 in a 88tc? Is there aney one who has good semi accurate performance specs for 88's with T3's vs T3O4's installed, is it worth the swop and money, keeping in minde that I want to go fast!!!

Try doing a search on "T3" to find out the specifics on the installation. If you still have some particular questions, ask away and I'm sure some of us can help walk you through it.
As far as whether or not the swap is worth it.......I feel it ABSOLUTELY is. I've yet to bring my car to the track since putting on my own .60/.48 t3, but at the same 18lbs of boost the car feels at least a half second quicker in the 1/4 mile. I was actually able to pull on my friends 96 z28 (ran a 13.9 at the track) through 2nd gear with 20lbs of boost. The spool-up time is only slightly slower than the ihi, but it's nothing you'll notice in daily driving unless you're really paying attention. The t3 also allows the engine to make power beyond 4500rpm when the ihi used to start running out of steam.
There are a few minor hassles along the way, but as long as you're prepared and know what you're doing, you'll be very pleased with the results.

Garnet, there are a few threads that talk about the actual install. it is definitely worth it. I went with a T-3 for now and the car is a whole lot quicker. I did a lot of other mods at the same time so I can't seperate it out for you. I think the car will see mid to low 14s when I do get it to the strip. By comparison, my old set up ran around 15 flat on a maxed out IHI with no internal mods and stock cam. I'll have dyno results in about a month.

Yes, I plan to dyno at Carlisle. I'll be upgrading the turbo somewhere down the road.
If you can swing the $$ to do the hybrid, do so. I went with the t-3 because I had one around and I'm not sorry. It just won't take me where I want to go in the long run.
how much to do a hybrid/ That can vary a lot so look around. There are a whole lot of combinations so know what your getting will do what you want.

Sounds like I will go with the t304 I dont want to do this twice [Image: wink.gif] My plan is to run 13.0 in the quarter mile consistantly with litle los of every day drivability!!! I don't like break downs, will changing turbos sacrafice reliability? don't worry the motor is being built to take it I don't expect a motor with 180KM to run 13's smoothly I'm currently looking for a motor guy!

I don't see why it would affect your daily drivability. Gas mileage will still be good as long as you stay out of boost. I'm hoping to run well into the 12's this year and I drive my car fairly often. It is a third car so I don't have to drive it every day. I could without a problem.

Wow your car is fast, tc dont get enuf respect so few mods to go fast 13's is good for me [Image: biggrin.gif] my frend has a super coupe, a member of the sccoa and they all must spend huge $ to get in to low 14's. With the axception of Nos. What do tc guys think of nos, I am kind of thinking about it but I dont like the Idea of filling the blue bottle every time I want to go fast [Image: frown.gif]

I'm getting my .48/.60 T3 ready to get in there, I got the rebuild kit coming and I'm getting ready to get a new comp wheel and housing. As long as this turbo can put out 20 psi consistently, I'll be very happy. Since I'm running on the stock engine now, I'm not looking to run high boost levels. I've never taken it to the track but since I've raced so many cars with 14/15 second E.T.s I'm guessing this will run a low 15 how it is now. When I get the T3 in, and the GN I/C in later, I'm hoping to hit low 14s at 20 psi, on the stock engine. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
