Chris, Did you get the Mustang sending unit to work?  I got mine to work with just the new float.  The car is back on the road.

I used the one from LMR, and i worked like a charm, no issues, no modification required.

1988 TC, 5 spd, Stinger 3" Exhaust, Schneider Roller Cam, -4° Cam Pulley, Cone Filter, Gilles Boost Control Valve set at 17 psi, Walbro 255 lph, CHE Rear Lower and Upper Control Arms, Braided Brake Lines, Hawk HPS 5.0 Front and HPS (F) Rear, CRES Inserts in front calipers, and '93 Cobra Wheels with General 235/50R17 Tires.

ok guys, sorry i'm just circling back to this. Ive had had a myriad of issues with fuel lately. My tank that sat for 12 years took out my new walbro. i tried cleaning it 3 different ways, and new gas loosened up all the junk in the tank. so, i'm on to a new tank, fuel pump and back to the sender.

I know it will sure not be a perfect accuracy, but in reality, fuel gauges aren't anyways. But i bought this part:

then just bent the arm until i felt it would be most accurate. remember, gas tanks don't fill to the top. so i went a little past 3/4 of the tank "full" capacity. as the full mark.
