If you have or are considering installing a higher performance fuel pump in your Turbo Coupe, please install a relay for the Inertia Switch. You may save your TC's life.
In preparation for the install of my new engine, I replaced my stock fuel pump with an Aeromotive 340 lph pump. Nothing wrong with the pump, it really provides the fuel! The new pump however, pulls almost 20 amps when pushed by the pressure regulator for more fuel. Long story short, the connector for the Inertia switch in the trunk literally melted under the strain. When I saw it, the picture of my beautiful copper car in flames, made me swallow hard.
Here's a link to the modification you will need to protect your car and your inertia switch.

Thanks to Jeff Korn for providing a relay fix to this problem.
If you should need a new Inertia Switch, the old part number has been replaced by 4W7Z-9341-AA for a genuine Ford Part.
Also, you will need a Digital Multi-meter for the task, but make sure you know how to use one. It will save you time, if you don't have to re-solder the connections. Ask me why!
