Fuel Injector "hats"

I have 3 injectors with cracked or broken brown plastic "hats" on them. Anyone know of any kits for replacing them? I haven't had any luck finding anything and the injectors worked great when they were removed from the car and I would hate to have to trash them.

The cracked hats won't hurt anything.

I've found them at places that rebuild injectors and I've heard that NAPA carries them as well.

Chuck is correct. NAPA sells the "seal kit" for the fuel injectors. Each box contains 1-hat, 2 brown O-ring seals, and the yellow spacer.

They are cheap. And you probably should replace the O-ring seals. The bottom can leak air, and the top can leak fuel. If they go bad, or dont seal proper.

Thanks guys. Once I can get my other car put back together (waiting on stupid PCV hose that had to be special ordered from Ford) I'll go to NAPA and get to work on those injectors.

I just replaced the o-rings and end caps on my injectors with seal kits I got from NAPA. (CRB212085 one per injector @ $4.00 each) The kit has the spcacer, 2 o-rings and the end cap that gets very brittle with age.

Autozone carries a rebuild kit as well... two orings and the pintle hat. Around $4 if memory serves.
