Fuel gauge not working

First thing man you guys have a vast knowledge,I have been searching the forums for a couple days now, great info. I'm new to the turbo coupe scene so any info would be appreciated, my fuel gauge doesn't work does anyone know where to start.It is an '83 turbo coupe all stock.

My 85 TC had a bad ground wire for the fuel gauge. I added a new ground wire and works fine.

Same thing with my 85, Bad ground.

When this happened to me in my 87, it was because the float fell off the sending unit in the tank.
87 TC 5 spd... 17X9 Cobra R's, .60/.63 SVO T3 Turbo, Large NPR, Manual Boost Controller, AEM Wideband, BPV, K&N Cone, Walbro 255, Kirban AFPR, 3G Alternator Conversion, Short Throw Shifter, Stinger 3" Exhaust, Magnaflow Catalytic Converter & Muffler.
