If the front sway bar endlinks are shortened, what effect does it have on the front suspension/steering/alignment??

I haven't found a complete answer but I think it is because changing the stock length would change the geometry for the worse. This page talks about parallelism. Scroll down about 1/3 to "How to Select the Correct End Links":
