how does this change the performance of the car. I know the obvious that it cools the air more but as far as lag and blow by? will i need a bov?

Lag is unchanged. You really have to try hard to increase lag on the T-3 or IHI set-ups. The lag is no different between by Tbird with the FMIC and the my XR4 with no IC.
I'm not sure what you mean by blow-by?

As far as a BPV, I'd recommend one.

This is all info that has been covered quite a bit here and at turboford....

what ever it is when you let of the throttle and a rush of air flows back tward the turbo. like water hammer ( when you wana blow up fire hydrants and water mains)???? Is ther a difrence between a blow off valve (BOV?) and a By pass valve (BPV?) ? or am i really confused?

answed half of my question.
BPV (ByPass Valve) vs BOV (Blow Off Valve) - What's the difference - - by Jeff Korn

BPV (ByPass Valve) - vents boost (high pressure air) back to the intake system before the turbo and after the air meter when you close the throttle under boost.

BOV (Blow Off Valve) - vents boost to the atmosphere when the throttle is closed.

Is ither one of them a must?
