new here totaly new to fords and the 2.3 motor
i just bought a 87 turbocoupe with 85,000 on it. It was sitting for a little over a year but started up and i drove it 2 hours home on dealer plates.Well the next day in light i noticed something, the sway bar mount on the drive side is shot infact most of the frame there is shot i no they make replacments but i cant seem to find any. Does anybody here no where i can get them?
Motor ran ok on the way home anything over 10psi it would cut out. Also had and still has a rough idle. New wires plugs and oil no more skip still has odd idle sometimes it stays 2k rpm or 1.5k shut it off start it up shes around 1k seems like a vacume leek but not sure
one thing i dont like its got a slight knock to it realy notice it under load and when reving but doesnt seem to hurt anything i assume lifter or cam return for a motor like this with only 85 on it
any information would be helpfull i plan on tearing the motor down and regasketing it if i have to
