I thought I was getting blowby pressure of the crank case but I crawled under today to find my oil pan gasket edges moist... thought I was on to something... until I found the flowing drips from the back edge of the valve cover. The breather has always fit loosely causing some pooling but I can now see chunks where the cork gasket is hanging out almost 1/2" and is soaked in oil. I suppose I can blame the shop during final assembly who rebuilt my motor. Wow that was 10 years ago, time flies.
My plan of attack is to redo the gasket and while I'm at it tap the VC breather and do a VC & PCV catch can setup.
Is the rubber Ranger gasket still the best one to get? Any other tips?

Stinger has a catch can approach well documented. Does anyone else have pics or have tried anything? I don't want chinesium ebay anything.
There are Moroso catch cans on Summit that would work. Kevko also has some nice kits but they are maybe overkill.

Got a Ranger gasket. Decided to upgrade the breather while I'm at it and skip a catch can.
Gonna drill out the breather hole to 1.25" for a Moroso 68781. I'm thinking the early style breather that's only 3/8" along with my slightly kinked 3/8" hard line to the intake may be what's to blame, along with the leaking valve cover itself.

Cool deal! I’m going to build something a little different. I build a lot of AN lines for my race car, so I have some left over stuff. I’m going to do a Moroso dry sump catch can and with -6an line to it. And leave the PCV side still hooked up.
