Sorry I have not followed up on this topic, but Work & Family has really kept me busy. I spoke the the supplier today about a Hood Insulation that would be made for the 87-88 TC. A molded one is out of the question as we do not have enough members willing to place an order to pay for the intial tooling necessary to make them.
The next best thing will be to have one made that has the cutouts for the ducting for the TC. The original one is about 1/2 thick, so the new one will be the same. We have an option for 1 inch, but I think when installed on the car, I think the ends will become frayed cause the clips that hold them in will cause it to compress and expand the edge.
I will be making the templete this weekend & sending it to them before Xmas. I'll post a pic before sending it out. They said that it would take about 3 weeks for them to make one & send it out to me to verify that it fits correctly. At the point when its done, I will post pics of it on the site. I'm hoping to have this thing tied up for everyone to order them by the end of January '05. cost should still be between 25-30 bucks.
