well Eather the head gasket went or i have now a cracked head ~.~ well fuck ..there goes any chance of my road trip .. that money now gets to pay for work done to my head .. GRRRRR yea my dad now conisders ford a cussword ... :-\

They aint that bad to work on. Try working on a chebby, especially a 2.4l. I'd rather work on a Ford anyday.

Replacing a HG on a TC is relatively easy to do, and if you go with the stock replacement gasket, total cost is under $20. If you think a HG replacement on a TC is a PITA, try doing the HGs on a FWD 3.8V6 some time. Not absolutely necessary, but given these heads are crack prone, I would fork up the $40 and have it magnafluxed at the local machine shop.
