fog lights

I just got done hooking everything up,following the instructions for the for fog light re-wire.I turn on the headlights then the fogs and tada they all work like usual.Now if I turn on just the parking lights and then turn on the fog switch I get no fogs.I thought that I would be able to run the fog lights by themselves independent of the headlights. Does that mean that I need to do the second half of the directions in the faq? that is what I believe after reading it over again.But it doesn't say that it just says to have the fogs on when the HIGH beams are on to use the diodes. All I want is to be able to turn on just the fog lights whenever I want or when just the parking lights are on. And so you know I am no electrician by any means. lol

Best to splice into the wire after your fog lamp fuse and run a wire to one side of your fog lamp switch, then run a wire from the other end of your fog lamp switch to a relay.

Have the relay wired up to your fog lamps, when done you'll have an OEM look and have full control of your fog lamps when the key is on

Legally you can't have your fog lights on when you have your HIGH beams kicked in, the rest of the time your able to legally have 3 fog lamps but no more then four running lamps.

Then again I don't know the motor code for PA

So basically I would use my factory fog light switch,and just leave it un plugged and run my own wires to it?

Yep, just run your own wires

Though TCs never came stock with a fog lamp relay so I don't know if you already have one wired up or not so if you don't it would be good to do so, it'll be easier(last a long time) on the whole setup.

Okay I'm all done with my lights and I am super happy with the way it came out. here is what I have..The fog lights will turn on any time the parking lights are on,doesnt matter if the head lights are on or if the high beams are on. Here is what I did...from the factory fog light switch... I cut the power supply from the switch and hooked it to the power supply from the dash lights,then cut the wire by the rad support and ran it to only activate the relay. So I didnt have to run any wires through the fire wall,only from the starter soleniod to the relay and relay to the fog lights.I also put in fuse as described in the faq. It may sound like nothing,but I am just happy with the outcome.
