Fog light issues?

For the past few weeks I have had to change my fog light bulbs about every week. I changed the fuse (thats fine), I dont put my hands on them since they are halogens. They are 12V and 100W's. Do you think there could be water getting to something, or a short??

the problem is your running 100w. my friend does the same thing with his grand am. great brightness but you have to replace them. overloads something i guess.

Not good on the headlight circuit either. There is an article in the tech section about rewiring the system to avoid problems.
Sold my Turbocoupe. It went to a good home.

Running 100 W bulbs without using a relay to power them will quickly fry the light switch and multifunction switch.

The extra load on the electrical system will NOT cause the bulbs to burn out.... lower voltage to the bulbs will actually make them last longer. Are you sure the bulbs are going bad? the 2 prong connectors at each fog light tend to corrode and loose contact, making the lights not work.... common problem.

Any chance water is getting in the lights? One drop of water hitting a halogen that is on will kill it.
