Hi my name is Russell, and I am a new member. I owned an '86 TC for a short time in '06. I parted it out for a turbo mustang project, and I have since learned the error of my ways (the car was trashed anyway) and just bought a beautiful dark blue '88 TC as my new daily driver. I was rolling an '03 Subaru WRX, but two recent surgeries on my left foot had left me with pain every time I had to operate the clutch, so it had to go. If I had to settle for an auto I wanted something nice, quick, comfortable, economical, and not FWD, so it had to be a TC. I searched for a while and came across my '88 on Craig’s list and bought is from an old lady for $1,400. Her son had dented the front passenger's side fender (looking for one, let me know if you have one for sale, I can confirm the paint code), but other that that the car is straight with not a speck of rust, which is saying allot for an Ohio car! The car has 125k on it, and has a great leather interior in awesome condition, a sunroof, electronic climate control, and power everything. I have been repairing little things here and there to make is a nice DD, and can't wait to start the performance mods! Well enough rambling, I'm thrilled to be here! I have been poking around since before I picked up the '86 and am very familiar with the search button. I have a few questions I’ll post later, and I hope to meet a bunch of you in Dayton on April 27th!

Really everyone is very helpful and willing to go above and beyond.

It sounds like a great find on your 88 TC. I also have an 88 automatic.

Talk to you soon.

Yeah a C4 will be in my near future, but for now the A4LD is still holding up fine.

Welcome to the forum-
another Subie owner and TC person here. I am currently DDing an 01 Subie forester with WRX springs, struts, sway bar, exhaust and some other parts. I am trying to convince the wife that a TC is needed so I can get my turbo fix when I need it. I ended up getting the forester when I traded in my 02 2.5RS 5-speed due to major surgery on my left leg from a deer vs bike accident. Good luck with the TC, they are fun cars!
Currently birdless, but will get another someday!

Hey Scooby Buddy! I'd like to get a Forrester for the family at some point, preferably an XT of course. You get the username?
