I have a q to all the guys who have already done this mod to their vehicle... 
Is it worth it to get a fmic from stinger? Does it include a lot of modifications??? 
I feel like most guys that have done this mod run in to some type of fitment issue....???

Im just looking to blow some tax money and not really concerned w/how much power it makes as my car is not a race car or fast by any means. I just want a nice driver

I have no experience with the fmic or bov that goes with it. I did read somewhere on Facebook where a person warned there was some driveability issue from the BOV in a certain circumstance. I did ask if they were using a dual or single piston BOV but didn't get an answer.
1988 TC, 5 spd, Stinger 3" Exhaust, Schneider Roller Cam, -4° Cam Pulley, Cone Filter, Gilles Boost Control Valve set at 17 psi, Walbro 255 lph, CHE Rear Lower and Upper Control Arms, Braided Brake Lines, Hawk HPS 5.0 Front and HPS (F) Rear, CRES Inserts in front calipers, and '93 Cobra Wheels with General 235/50R17 Tires.

thats what scares me is everyone ive seen, the person had an issue.... I'm looking for something completely bolt on and go

I don't have experience with Stinger's FMIC but from what I've seen and heard from others, the install is very straight forward. IMO, it is a must have upgrade if you want to run higher boost. The stock IC is not terrible but a FMIC like Stinger's is more efficient at cooling intake air temps.

As far as BOV's go, if you are still running the VAM, then go with Stinger's Dual Piston BOV. It is designed in a way that will not leak air during idle or part throttle. If you're running a speed density setup (PimpX, Squirt, etc.) then the type of BOV does not matter. I have the dual piston BOV and used it before I went with a standalone ECU. I never experienced any drivability issues.
88 Turbo Coupe: Front mount intercooler, MGW short throw shifter, full coilover conversion, tubular control arms front and rear, svo front brakes, vacuum assist brake swap, manual steering swap, GT35R turbo with external gate, pimpx ecu, 60lb injectors, 3 core aluminum radiator, Boport 1.5 cam, gutted upper, corbeau fixed back seats, and the list goes on.

I bought the Stinger FMIC and tubes and had to make a few cuts with a hacksaw and used a file to clean up the ends.
The first cut was the tube coming off the turbo cause I added a blow off valve and that also pushed the FMIC forward so I
had no clearance issue with the AC condenser. The next was the pipes to the throttle body. I have the 120 degree intake so I installed them
and let the ends sit side by side and draw a line across and took them off and cut them to size. As for the FMIC mounts I just used some flat steel and made some L brackets and screw them to the top of the radiator frame. Also had to cut the bottom of the hood mount bracket to clear the FMIC.

It's not hard just takes a little time and planning before cutting.

FMIC was a great performance boost for me. I used a different bolt in kit. Just be aware that bolt on still means you may have some figuring or problem solving as you go.

OK, great thanks for the info! I think im going to blow some stimulus money on the FMIC kit from stinger. Theirs seems to be a good kit and Id be able to get some assistance if needed.
