Sounds like your BCS is not working right. Check you electrical and vacuum connections.

I can't remember if the BCS can trip a code or not. If it can, it may be worth running the codes...

Yea I think I found the problem I have a home made boost controller on ther now and not using the stock boost controller. I think the previous owner installed a pcv valve where the oil breather should be I was blowing the dipstick up I need to find the oil breather. I think I am getting to much crank pressure from no breather and a bad pcv. Thanks for your help

While this is something that should be fixed, it has nothing to do with your boost level.

First step is carefully check all IC and TB hoses for loose clamps, cracks (sometimes hard to find), etc. If you have the stock VAM, check VAM to turbo hose to be sure the internal "spring" is intact and the hose isnt collapsing.

check all that still cannot get the boost up funny thing Is it had 10-12 when I drove it in the shop to do the swap. Swapped the five speed and now have 6 the only line removed was the one to the modulator on the auto trans but I plugged the vacuum port. reverse lights are hooked up. and starter wires are jumpered if I remember right there is three wires not hooked up that went to the auto. What I am wondering will the computer defuel in overdrive to protect the tranny if so Is it possible it is sensing this and maybe in a limp mode?? I have made a bleed off boost valve but cannot get over 10 pounds checked the turbo it feels/looks good check all hoses and wires.

Attach the hose that feeds the boost controller directly to the wastegate actuator (skipping the stock boost controller and your bleed valve). This should result in 8-10psi if everything is functioning properly. If this is the case, unhook the hose to the actuator and plug the hose (leaving nothing on the actuator). Now go for a drive and it should overboost badly (get out of the throttle before it exceeds 15psi or you risk blowing a headgasket or worse). If it passes both of these tests, the problem is in your boost controller.

ok I will try that. Why would it have changed in less than three hours just putting the tranny in??
