Just got home today from a 1100 mile round trip to NC to visit my family. TC ran great I enjoyed driving it. My brother and I was going to paint it but neither one of us wanted to go outside to wet sand it in 20deg weather LOL so that will have to wait till a warmer time.

I always thought the TCs were hands-down, the best, most comfortable long-range cars I ever drove...
Glad it went smoothly for you!

RPM, Take my word for it. Don't paint or ready a car for painting until 70 and dry. You used your head not doing the sanding.
mac3, The best long mile cars I have ever driven, were Lincolns. MK 3's to 5's. We called them Boats. In the 40's and 50's they were called Lead Sleds. Ford product. Never owned a Caddy. Or drove one for that matter.
Just for the record -- Bought them when they were 10 plus years old.

Hate to say it, but a 70 series volvos have got to be the most comfortable (at least the R version). I have taken mine on many long trips with no numb butt aching back or tired shoulders...

Try an Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe sometime. Hands down the most comfortable car I have ever driven, especially for long trips. It is also extremely quiet and handles like it is on rails. And I routinely do 900-1,000 mile drives, non-stop (except for gas).

Lol... The TC definately loses there... The gas tank outlasts my bladder... Damn close to 7 hours straight driving per tank...

That is the beauty of the TC. GREAT road cruisers and fuel economy that rivals the econo boxes. My TC is the best long range cruiser that I've ever owned. Our Explorer does very well, also. Nothing compares to the TC seat as far as I'm concerned...
'86 TC: Granatelli adjustible clutch kit, Energy Suspensions, they own me, New KYB's, NOS heater core in the back seat, Chuck Warren Motor Mounts, Wallbro 255, Kirban FPR, New aluminum dual core. The Goal...all I need is the TIME!!

I don't know, my Celica ST just about out performed in every area(except room) compaired to a TC. Quick little car too for just having a 1.6L, if I wanted power I could pick up a JDM 2.0T with the trans to support AWD and they were a simple swap.
I redlining my Celica avaraged 32mpgs and if I drove it normally I'd get 34mpgs, could run two weeks with not filling up the tank and would only run $30 to $35 to fill it up.
Don't get me wrong, I love TCs and they were great for there time but thats about it.
