first kill yesterday!

a guy in a lincoln ls v8 cut me off cold then thought he was going to outrun me too. he only accomplished one of those feats. i wasnt sure how my tc was going to hold up to him since he had a jump from cutting me off, at the top of second i was gaining on him, but in third gear i was going by him. he didnt look too happy! WoooHooo

i did something im not to proud of. first im a big preacher of take it to the track b/c ive seen things gone wrong plenty of times. anyway. I was coming home from work the other night and one of those Scion Tc's was riding my tail. so he blows thru the toll bridge and im waiting behind two cars. I eventually catch up and were cruising doing about 80. i dont know mods but it was not stock probably the usuall ricer stuff exhuast and intake. anyway hes in front of me and another highway. picking up speed slowly, the scion jumps on it and im riding his tail all the way by now the metel is floored and im breathing 15 psi hard. drafted this guy till about 120 mph and i started to pass him i got in the right hand lane and started to walk him pretty good. put the turn signal on to get off at my exit and he does the usual fly-by. since the speedo was pegged at 95 im sure we were doing about 130 maybe more didnt really look at the tach b/c i was holding on for dear life, he gave me a run for the money and in the end he got beat. but those suckers are quick rated at 160hp and weighing under 3000 lbs he could of had me. Like I said not proud but that will be the last time I try that on a public road. just a story to share.

I street race all the time, just not when anyone else is around. If someone wants to race me from light to light though, and nobody else is around, I have no problem with that. They obviously know the reprocussions as well as I do. That, and I don't usually go more than ~15 over the speed limit, which isn't much here considering the average commuter holds steady at around 9 over.

That being said, I raced a guy in a Scion tC light to light a couple months back. He wasn't too happy. He got the jump 2/3 times but I caught up every time, and the last time I just flat out smoked him. I think it was 'cause we were on a hill though.. haha

top end is different. thing was running pretty good. I was surprised how good it ran. less horsepower but alot lighter and an auto. low rpm i had him beat but at 130 + mph it was keeping up. even though I did spank him in the end.
