I was just messing with it. This stuff was recorded at 720p, but it can do 1080p. It's at a lower setting now because the only micro sd card I had to use with it is a 4 gig which I stole from my phone. I have a 32 gig on the way. I need to get me a suction cup mount. For this it was mounted to the moon roof.

Shoot - If I had some actual free time on my hands, I think I could make a better "first vid" than just driving to and from work! :headslap:

You're right, Redbone; it really does make the roof look huge with that fisheye lens. It's actually smaller than a factory TC moon roof. I think mine was a dealer install because it has a Ford leather stowage bag. :dunno:

I definitely smoke way too much in the car! I determine the distance of a car trip by how many cigarettes I will go through. Just terrible... smoking is bad and no one should do it... ever.

Thanks, Mike - I'm pretty happy with the video quality. I ordered a high speed 32 gig micro sd card. When that comes in I'm going to shoot come more stuff at the higher-quality level. Right now, with a 4-gig card I can only get 17 minutes of video at the highest quality setting.

So far my favorite thing is being able to use my phone to control the camera and change its' settings, and it also acts as an image display since the camera does not have one. My only gripe about the phone app is that you cannot play back video or view photos taken with the camera. You can only view the live image.

i have the same camera, literally just bought it less than a week ago, to replace my old one (pre-HD, the original version, i believe). i didn't know about the phone app, that's awesome! my main issue was always no preview screen to set the camera to the exact angle i want it. i should really read more than the first page of the manual LOL.

That's awesome! A friend of mine just got one and was doing some videos in the snow with his awd subaru, I might have to borrow it sometime.
